Colombre is a big  fish, very frightening, extremely rare.

People living on the coasts of the various seas call it different names: kolomber, kahloubrha, kalonga, kalu-balu, chalung-gra.

The environmentalists don't even mention it.

Naturalists strangely enough ignore it.

Some even claim that it doesn't exist.

The climax of the story is one of those "coups de theatre" which make D.B. a master of story-telling.

His skill in inventing and his simplicity of language is very suitable for a young audience.

Hero of the story is a 12 years old boy, eager to follow the footsteps of his father.
